Veterinary Chiropractic

Chiropractic is the application of a directed force on a specific area of the skeleton to re-establish normal joint motion. This application of force is called an adjustment.

The American Veterinary Chiropractic Association trains and certifies licensed veterinarians in veterinary chiropractic. This training is important, as animal skeletons vary greatly from human skeletons. The angles of the adjustments also differ.

At Rivertown Animal Hospital, we use veterinary chiropractic in conjunction with veterinary acupuncture and Western medicine to develop the optimum treatment plan for your pet. This is a integrative plan developed between you and your veterinarian. A physical exam and X-rays are important parts of a chiropractic exam.

Contact us to discuss whether chiropractic care may be helpful for your pet, or email Dr. Arnesen at drarnesen@rivertownanimalhospital.com with any questions you may have.
